Well, there goes a Europa league match. Cheers we are in the last eight of the competition. But the class shown by us today could and should have been a bit better. The problem is still there, despite the timely return of Cleverly and the return of the great Paul Scholes from retirement, we lack some creativity in midfield. It might be more due to the absence of Wayne Rooney from the team, as he recovers from sore throat, who was really the man to initiate the United attack and also consistently get in new really good attacking positions. But seriously, we need a world-class midfielder this summer. The game today, in my view, also demonstrates the importance of Michael Carrick to the team. In the night, Chicarito scored and Nani showed glimpses of returning to form, it cannot be said that all is in vain. And besides that we are into the last 16 of the Europa League. no matter to the way we got in there. And then there's always Chicarito to score for you. I think it must be one of the great head aches for Sir Alex Ferguson, although a positive one, whom to pick out amongst the little mexican and Danny boy. One is the scorer. other is the ball holder. Wayne Rooney is everything, so he gets the nod ahead of everyone. But who'll be there to support him? My view in that regard is that on away games we need to go with Welbeck as he gives the chance to hold out play and Hernandez could come in later stages as defence tire out and he may poach in with a goal. But on home game, mostly against good teams, we need to score early to put the pressure on opposition and for that the lineup should definite;y start with Hernandez.
Well, lastly this is my first post of hopefully many post match posts to come. I hope to improve in English and in writing longer blogs in the mean time. But as always, I leave with the hope of seeing United get the better of Norwich city in the the weekend.
